Neighborhood Cleanup & Potluck

9:00 AM cleanup – 5:30 PM potluck – 6:00 PM meeting

9:00 AM roadway cleanup. Meet at the firehouse to pick-up trash bags and assignments. Wear long sleeves & bring garden gloves. There will be a dumpster at the station for your use throughout the weekend.

5:30 PM Dinner. Drinks, chicken & BBQ brisket are provided by the TCA.
Please bring a dish to share. Everyone is welcome. You don’t have to be a member to attend. Please come promptly at 5:30PM.

In addition, Ft. Bliss wants to hear from you…if you hear the noise from the Ft. Bliss bombing exercises, they want you to contact them.

We are looking into several options to determine the extent
of noise reaching the Talavera area.  Our Air Force Weather station is
tracking weather conditions to determine if that might impact on the way
the noise travels.  Monitors stationed at various locations might be
considered as well.  In addition, onsite personnel with noise devices
might help to determine the exact cause.  As those of you who live in
the area know sonic booms are often an issue because of the Air Force
training flights in the area.  Please continue to inform us, track time,
date, and grid if possible and we will continue our efforts as well.
