Connector Trail Grand Opening – May 9, 8:30 – 12:00
The Southern New Mexico Trail Alliance coordinated the all volunteer construction of a 2.5 mile multi-use (hike, bike, horseback ride) trail from Tortugas (“A”) Mountain’s east side at Whitethorn trail to the Soledad Canyon Road multi-use path at the Talavera Fire Station. Construction is complete and the grand opening has been announced:
Hello amazing volunteers!
Come celebrate the grand opening of the connector trail on Saturday May 9 from 8:30-12:00. The event will be held outside of the Talavera Fire Station at the corner of Soledad Canyon Road and Achenbach Canyon Road.
There will be breakfast snacks and coffee starting at 8:30. At 9:00 we will have a short announcement and grand opening of the trail. Afterwards everyone is invited to visit and enjoy the trail. There will be some group lead runs, hikes, and rides. We will also have a slideshow of the trail construction to enjoy. We will hangout until around 12:00.
