Mescalero Land Exchange – General Public Meeting is being rescheduled

FROM THE NEW MEXICO STATE LAND OFFICE:

Hello,

Thank you for your engagement so far on a proposed land exchange between the Mescalero Apache Tribe and the New Mexico State Land Office. I want to reiterate that this process is still in the early stages and no final decisions have been made.

A community meeting on this proposal held on Friday, November 7 drew a standing-room only crowd at the theater of the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum. A follow-up public meeting was originally scheduled for Monday, November 24 at the same venue.

However, because of the significant community interest in this proposal we are postponing the November 24 public meeting. We will reschedule for another date in the near future at a larger venue that can more comfortably and safely accommodate everyone.

We will contact you all again as soon as we have a new date and venue lined up for this next public meeting.

We apologize for any inconvenience rescheduling this public meeting may cause. But it is our hope that this will allow us to provide a better in-person experience for all guests at the next public meeting as we continue gathering your feedback.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Regards,
